Each year the Virginia Association for Environmental Education (VAEE) recognizes and honors individuals and organizations from around the Commonwealth of Virginia for their innovation and dedication to moving the field of environmental education forward. Nominations are reviewed by the VAEE Board of Directors as well as voted on by VAEE members. Award recognition generally takes place at the annual Virginia Environmental Education Conference each February.
