    Join us for the 2022 Virginia Association for Environmental Education (VAEE) conference sponsored by Dominion Energy at the Airfield Conference Center and 4-H Educational Center in charming Sussex County, VA from Friday, August 12, 2022 to Sunday, August 14, 2022. We hope to provide you a safe, healthy, and inclusive learning opportunity as we return to in-person* for 2022!

    Our 2022 VAEE conference theme is resilencEE & reinvention. Join us as we re-imagine a post-COVID world for Environmental Education; a world with diverse partnerships, resilient communities, and a broader concept of what it means to be an Environmental Educator.

    Enjoy a conference full of professional development, networking, learning, and field experiences that will help you expand your knowledge of environmental literacy, efforts, and resources in the Commonwealth and beyond.

    Please Note: VAEE will require proof of full COVID-19 vaccination for everyone attending the 2022 VAEE Conference. Be prepared to show proof of vaccination during the check in procedures.

    We will continue to monitor the CDC recommendations and provide updates as we get close to this year conference.

    This dynamic workshop dives into the North American Association for Environmental Education's (NAAEE) Guidelines for Excellence: Professional Development of Environmental Educators. Focusing on the preparation and continuing education of environmental educators, this workshop is packed with interactive sessions that allow you to explore the Guidelines with other professionals.

    This workshop consists of two virtual meetings along with pre-work and work in between the sessions. Virtual meetings are both on Saturday, September 10th, 10:00 am - 12:00 pm AND 2:00 - 4:00 pm. Participants must attend both sessions. Registrants will receive NAAEE's Guidelines for Excellence: Professional Development of Environmental Educators  publication along with other workshop materials via postal mail. 

    Workshop Fee: $60

    Registration Deadline: Thursday, September 1 at 5:00 pm

    Please note: We will be using Google Drive to house workshop materials. If you do not have access to Google Drive both on your own time and during the workshop Zoom meetings, please contact the Certification Administrator to arrange an alternative way to receive materials.

    This workshop is a requirement in the Virginia Environmental Education Certification Program. Criteria 2.1
