Funding Opportunities

The Virginia Association for Environmental Education's Board and Staff are excited to announce the following scholarship opportunities for participation in the North American Association for Environmental Education's Annual Research Symposium and Conference held October 11th-15th. 

SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

• Two in-person Conference registration reimbursements, up to $500 each.
• Two virtual Research Symposium registration reimbursements, up to $165 each.
• Two virtual Conference registration reimbursements, up to $250 each.

HOW TO APPLY FOR FUNDING

Please send an email to chair@virginiaee.org expressing the following:

• Have you had the opportunity to attend or engage an NAAEE Research Symposium or Conference in the past? Why or why not?
• Which opportunity are you pursuing?
• How will your community will be impacted by this experience?
• Would you be willing to contribute to a blog and/or social media post after your professional learning experience?

SELECTION AND FUND DISBURSEMENT

A committee will review all applicants received and applicants will be notified in a timely manner due to the fast approaching NAAEE Research Symposium and Conference.

At this time, all funding disbursement is reimbursement based. We hope in the future to promote a greater sense of equity by disbursement funding in advance. Once notified, scholarship recipients will be requested to provide the Treasurer with the best mailing address to send a reimbursement check.
